SUNSET COCKTAIL CRUISE

Grab your friends and family and kickback for an evening of local craft beer and wine as you cruise around the beautiful Emerald Coast sunset. Memories are sure to be made as you explore Lake Powell, the largest coast dune lake in Florida, on a brand new pontoon boat. For those looking to get in on the action, hop on one of the provided YOLO paddle boards to get up close and personal with this unique eco-system. Sit back, relax, and go ahead and have another drink that being on vacation merits!

This experience is suitable for guests of all ages! We can accommodate parties of up to 12.

LAKE POWELL

Coastal Dune Lakes are a very rare, natural phenomena that only occur in a handful of locations around the world, including New Zealand, Australia, Madagascar and right here in South Walton, Florida.

What makes a Coastal Dune Lake so special? Well, they are truly a natural wonder that Mother Nature created between 2,000 and 10,000 years ago! What makes these lakes so rare is that they,  for the most part, consist of fresh water, but they sit just a few feet away from the salty water of the Gulf, separated by sand dunes. Following acts of nature, like a heavy rain storm, the sand dunes weaken and open allowing an overflow of fresh lake water into the Gulf and vice versus. The salt water of the Gulf mixes with the Coastal Dune Lake until the lake level stabilizes. The result is a rare brackish ecosystem that allows both fresh and saltwater flora, fauna and wildlife to flourish.

Location: Bay County Lake Powell Public Boat Launch

Start Times: 5:30 PM (4:30 PM between October 1st and March 1st).
Return/Dock: At sunset (sunset times vary depending on time of year).

This excursion is offered with the following availability schedule:

August 15th – February 15th: Available 7 days a week.
February 16th – August 14th: Available every day except Saturdays.
