Take the whole family out for an excursion on one of 30A’s most picturesque areas: Western Lake! Begin your day with detailed instruction from our friendly guides, followed by a YOLO paddle board or tandem kayak excursion and eco-tour. With your experienced guides you will traverse the lake to learn more about these rare geographical features and the area’s local flora and fauna that make up this unique eco-system.

Start (Arrive at Grayton State Park): 9:30 AM

There is a 5-person minimum.

WESTERN LAKE
Western Lake is a mixture of both fresh and salt water creating a salt marsh ecosystem capable of supporting a vast array of wildlife. Once on the water the first thing paddlers will notice is the dark, rich tannin-colored waters of the lake. Coastal dune lakes are mostly permanent bodies of water that lie in close proximity to a sea coast and periodically exchange water through seepage, outfall or storms. These rare bodies of water, only a few hundred worldwide, offer some of the most amazing biodiversity found anywhere.
